What is the Plan of Salvation?
- Acknowledge that God has not been first in your life, and ask Him to forgive your sins. 1 John 1:9: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
- Believe that Jesus died to pay for your sins and that He rose again, and is alive today. Romans 10:9: That if though shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, though shalt be saved.
- Accept God’s free gift of salvation. Don’t try to earn it. Ephesians 2:8-9: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.
- Allow Jesus Christ to come into your life and be the Lord (“Director”) of your life. John 1:12-13: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: [13] Which were born, not or blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
